- Remove all unnecessary articles and store excess furniture to ensure rooms appear as spacious as possible
- Thoroughly clean walls, floors and windows
- Fill and/or paint any cracking in walls and ceilings
- Repair any doors that do not close properly, dripping taps and jamming draws
- Professionally steam clean the carpet where possible
- Hire furniture if it will assist in the presentation of the property
- Have fresh flowers for open for inspections
- Air out the property
- At open for inspections, draw blinds to allow exposure to natural light
- Repair all broken or faulty lights and replace low wattage globes with bright ones
- Ensure all valuables are stored away or removed from the property during the sales campaign.
Outdoor:
- All outdoor area should be trimmed, weeded and cleared of all rubbish
- Add some colourful flowers to the garden
- All spouting, guttering, paving or fences should be in a state of good repair
- Ensure fences are in good order
- Treat or paint all weathered windows, doors and decking
- Ensure that garbage bins are not overflowing and are out of sight if possible
- Remove items from clothesline
- Pets to be walked or absent during open for inspections.
